# Payments

Configuration

Payment methods are plugins. GrandNode ships with **Cash on delivery**, **Stripe Checkout** and **BrainTree**; more providers are available as plugins. You activate the methods you want, configure their credentials, and optionally restrict where they are offered.

### Payment methods

**Configuration → Payment → Payment methods** lists the installed methods with what they support - capture, refund, partial refund, void - and whether they are active.

Configuration → Payment → Payment methods.

1. Click **Edit** on a method, tick **Is active**, set the display order and save the row.
2. Click **Configure** to enter its settings - API keys, sandbox mode, additional fee, the description shown at checkout. Keys can differ per store.
3. Test a payment in sandbox mode before going live.

### Payment method restrictions

**Payment method restrictions** hides methods for chosen countries or shipping methods - for example no cash on delivery abroad, or only prepayment with pickup.

Tick a box to hide that method for that country.

### Payment settings

Configuration → Payment → Payment settings.

| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Allow to re-posting payments | Lets a customer retry a failed redirect payment (Stripe, PayPal) from the order page. |
| Skip payment step if only one exist | Hides the payment method choice when there is only one. |
| Show payment info if cart is zero | Shows the payment step even for free orders. |
| Skip payment info | Skips the payment information step. |
| Show payment descriptions | Shows each method's description at checkout. |
