# System, vendor and admin search settings

Configuration

Three settings pages are less about the storefront and more about how the installation behaves: **System settings**, **Vendor settings** and **Admin search settings**. All are under the **Settings** menu.

### System settings

| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Order ID | The next order number. Only affects new orders and must be higher than the current highest number - use it to start numbering at, say, 10000. |
| Task - days to cancel unpaid order | A scheduled task cancels orders still unpaid after this many days. Empty = never. |
| Task - delete guest older than minutes | A scheduled task deletes guest customer records older than this, which keeps the customer collection small. |
| Use ISO Date Time Converter in JSON | Date format in JSON responses; leave as is unless an integration needs it. |
| Pictures storage | Where pictures are kept: in the database or on disk. **Change** moves every picture - back up the database first. |
| Default grid page size, Grid page sizes | Rows per page in admin grids and the sizes offered. |
| Hide column The Store on the grid | Hides the store column on single-store installations. |
| Documents page size | Page size of the document lists. |
| Default admin area language, Ignore RTL | The language of the admin panel for staff who have not chosen one, and whether right-to-left languages flip the admin layout. |
| Automatically detect the current language | Chooses the storefront language from the browser's language on the first visit. |

### Vendor settings

For marketplaces: how vendors appear to customers, whether customers can apply to become vendors, vendor reviews and the vendor address fields.

### Admin search settings

The search box at the top of the admin panel finds menu items, products, categories, collections, pages, news, blog posts, customers and orders. Here you choose which of them it searches and in what order the result groups are listed.
