Hi Team,
I was not able to find any documentation on how Catalog > Products > [Import from Excel] work.

Following are mu questions.

1. Is there a standard template for products import
2. If so, how Mapped Specification attributes and other attributes data to be defined in excel.

So ive come across RFQ lists from certain customers where they basically try to do exactly what you said. Let's say on average we get 1-4 items per line but i could see it being larger in other cases.

Typically sent to us in excel format.

I guess my question is, how do you associate a line on their rfq list with a specific inventory item of:

1. They misspell it
2. They dont use a part # of yours but instead use a manufacturer part number
3. Each RFQ is formatted differently ? (I.e. column 2 contains MPN while another rfq comes MPN in column 3 with the description.

How can you standardize a way of implementing this thst ensures it is extendible into the future and works with more than one customer rfq format.

Buyer's can use our portal to order items, but they need to search only through their inventory list and when they select an item we can show the products from different sellers mapped. Now comes mapping of inventory list to product catalog, which we can done in following ways,
1. A mapping engine with different rules can do this.
2. Tags can be used to find the matching items.
3. Each inventory items will be mapped to one or more products.
4. Options can be shown to the buyer while a
5. Standardizing can be a continual learning process from the order history.

Large companies will have their inventory list (product list) with them. The formats can be in excel, xml, json. mainly this resides in the Buyer ERP/Procurement software platform or they use MS Excel to do the same.

The process flow goes like this...
Buyer sends the Request for Quote to different Sellers in terms of inventory list and Sellers put their quote price against each items.

To make this process efficient, a better solution is to map the different Buyers Inventory lists and Seller Product Catalog lists and automate the entire process.

Can we have a feature for B2B ?

> While he searches, only those items will be displayed
