Some questions about the future of GrandNode

Hello, everybody!

I have some questions about the future of this projest - which is, IMHO, one of the best ecommerce open-source platforms I've been playing with.
As I can see, the Grandnode team focused on making a feature-rich, multi-shop, multi-vendor platform like f.ex. ebay, aliexpress or allegro.
Most of these extra features I'm not interested in, but I need some features missing in current release. I can tweak the sources to adopt the project to my (my customers in fact) needs. But I wonder what wiil happen in the future?
- will the project be always open-source or not?
- upgrading to the future new release(s) could be a bit tricky if Grandnode team will change a lot in the "official" version
- will the dev team provide a bit more docs - f.ex db structure? This can be read from the source and db itself but it's a very time consuming work (I know, writing the docs is a time consuming job also ;-))

Concerning all the questions I'm a bit afraid of betting on grandnode while replacing the 15-years-old PHP (which I personally hate), Python, Postgresql and MySQL project.
All these worries came from my precious experiences - I've added a lot of enhancements to the ERP system in use by my customer and every upggrade of the ERP is a road to hell ;-)
And if U plan to make it closed-source I will be on my own...

Cheers
Paweł
