Grandnode as marketplace platform

Hi,

I'm currently evaluating Grandnode for use in a marketplace type platform.  I want people to be able to sign up as vendors, and have their own store with it's own products in it and its own homescreen and branding....but then also be able to search for products across all stores and see results / add to bag.

So multiple stores with their own catalogs, but a global cart and search system.

Is this possible with Grandnode?

Also, I see there's an API available, does this allow Grandnode to operate truly 'headless'?

Hello Paul,

It requires customization. Out of the box it's not possible to achieve, but after little changes it's possible to do. You can create a plugin to handle that.
Best regards,

Paul, did you ever try this out (Grandnode as Marketplace platform)?

I’m in search of the same, preferably on ASP.NET Core 3/5 and would love to hear about experiences doing this with GN.

Thanks!

Hello, James!

A lot of stuff has changed during the 2 years between the post creation date and your question. We've added a lot of things to GrandNode. For example - GrandNode 2.0 has a frontend API, so it can operate as a headless app. The best way is to get the package, it's open-source, so it's free, and play with it for a while. If you have a scope of the project, some must-have requirements, you can share them with us, we will look at it and tell you more precisely what is achievable more easily out-of-the-box and what is doable by customization.
Best regards,
Patryk
