I see that any products uploaded by the vendor doesn't go through any admin approval before reflecting in the site. Any actions on products by vendor gets directly visible on the site. I feel that a multi-vendor site  should have a settings to enable/disable auto approval . If the auto approval setting is disabled, any product uploaded by vendor should be visible on site only after admin approval.

Maybe. But many things depend on the business model. We can consider it, but I can't say now that we will implement it to the core of the system. Maybe we will create a plugin for that.

The plugin can add new functionality to give store owner possibility to approve products or not. That's how plugins work. In current version, you are not able to achieve that. You can create a plugin - recommended option, or modify the source code by yourself, what is not recommended by the team.
