High load scaling infrastructure on azure

I want to make an inquiry regarding the scalability of the grandnode application. I understand this software is created with scalability in mind since it even supports the creation of a marketplace in it. Our team would like to use this software through its api (without the UI that comes with the application except the admin panel) and manage an embedded eshop service to our own service. Since our service is expanding to be a SaaS platform the scalability and performance of this integration will need to be investigated deeply by us, we want it to serve many thousands concurrent users - in the class of 10k concurrent users - using the api constantly. Our current infrastructure is on Azure and we would like to know if there is a way to do this in Azure using Kubernetes or even the autoscale functionality of azure.  The mongo database would be on Atlas and the server infrastructure in Azure. Is this possible for grandnode?

Hi Periklis,

Thanks a lot for the post. Starting from the beginning, our Web API was designed to handle software integrations, like ERP system <-> GrandNode, marketplaces like eBay, Amazon <-> GrandNode. So it may be not ready to use it as a fully independent backend API. Some of the actions are missing in it. All available operations you can check in the Grand.API project.

In the case of possibilities, we haven't done it internally, but it seems to us, that it's possible. However, in such large projects, it's important to make an internal deep analysis, so it's hard to clearly say it's possible or not. Furthermore, GrandNode is open-source software, so you are able to freely extend its work.

Cheers!
Best regards,
Patryk

Hello Patryk,
Thank you for the very quick response. I have studied the API and it seems that it's more than enough for the integration we are planning. We will most likely need to create some custom plugins or authentication integration for our identity server but that's not a lot of trouble for us. What we're interested in is the performance and scale handling. Do you have any experience with large scale projects with many concurrent users using this technology in production currently?

Hi,

You can check the following article, maybe it will bring new light on that matter for you: https://grandnode.com/grandnode-performance-test
