It's a generic attribute, it can be used for many different use cases. However, its implementation requires development knowledge. You can provide there some additional information for products and then the programmer can make these additional attributes appear on the product page.

Product Attachment plugin is not supported anymore. We've decided to abort the development of the plugin when we added the Generic Attributes feature to the core of the GrandNode. With a little help from the developer, it can work as a product attachment plugin.
