Hello,
Patrick, I have two cases
1. We have a problem with the store administrators.
The store has been installed and the main administrator has been created, e.g. kowalski@op.pl
after logging in to the panel, adding new customers, including nowak@op.pl, was given administrator rights.
It was possible to log in to nowak@op.pl, perform all tasks in the panel. However, after each modernization. e.g. when I transferred customers from my old store, I couldn't log in to nowak @ and I had to use the original administrator. Changing the password from the penaleu didn't help, the panel didn't let me in. My programmer did something on the server in the store and reassigned the password. Recently he moved orders from the old store and it has done again, he doesn't want to let me into the admin panel. Why is it so that after each modernization (data transfer) GN goes crazy?

question 2 :)
Do I attach 2 screenshots from the old store (panel), the question is whether if the programmer changes the management panel, I order in GN more or less similar to the old one, i.e. he will insert a button on which, after hovering over it, a new window will appear with information about the content of the order and its details, and after moving the mouse it will disappear So, after updating in the future, e.g. to 4.9 GN, will the update not affect these changes and others that will be made in the administration panel?

Thank you for your reply

Hi Marcin,

Well, out-of-the-box it's impossible to import customers. I'm curious how you've done that. If you do it via database, it's possible that something will be broken, but we can't predict what you've done wrong. We don't recommend that way. To import customers you should use Customers import plugin.

In the case of changes in admin panel, every change that is done in the source code or default theme will affect the further upgrade process. It's not recommended to modify original files. You can change the default behavior with plugins or roslyn scripts.
Best regards,
Patryk

Thanks for clarification Patrick. Can you give me some examples how to extend current behaviour of admin panel? For example, I would like to add an image to client order list (Admin/Customer/Edit - orders tab) - how I can do it with a plugin/script? I don't see any support for themes on admin side as it's on storefront...

Admin panel themes will be introduced in GrandNode 4.90.0. For now, you can use plugins and widgets. Developer guides and basics of plugins' creations are available here.
