All deleted products are still appearing on website. Is that a bug? Or is there anything further that I need to do after I delete the product?

Well, out of the box vendor assignment does not define whether the product is visible or not. By default, you can hide a product by date ranges, customer roles, stores, or by published / unpublished status.
