Changes do not show up
You saved a setting or edited content, but the storefront still shows the old version. Check these, roughly in order of likelihood.
Causes and fixes
| Cause | How to recognise it | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Cache | The change appears after some minutes, or after a restart. | Gear menu → Clear memory cache. Changes made directly in the database are never noticed until the cache is cleared. |
| Store-specific settings | Multi-store installation; the setting looks right with "All stores" selected. | Select the store in the settings page: a store-specific copy of the group overrides the shared values. Change the value there for that store. |
| Language | The text changes in one language only. | Edit the translation tab of the item, or the string resource of that language. |
| Theme | The setting affects a page the theme renders its own way. | The active theme may override the view and ignore the option; check with the Default theme. |
Plugin or appsettings.json change | A plugin was installed or a server setting edited. | Restart the application. |
| Browser or CDN cache | A private window shows the new version. | Reload with Ctrl+F5; purge the CDN. |
| Widget not active | A widget's setting changes nothing. | Activate it under Plugins → Widgets, for the right store. |
